Description

Sustainability Project Officers (x3)

2* 12-month full-time fixed-term, 1*6.5months full-time maternity cover

£23,000 per annum (plus London weighting of £3,299 for London positions)

London (x2); Cardiff

Over the last year NUS has reached 50,000 staff and 150,000 students across 80 tertiary education institutions with our sustainability engagement projects. Working with our member students’ unions, we seek to create a social norm of sustainability on campuses, helping students to pick up pro-environmental attitudes, behaviours and habits that will last a lifetime. www.nus.org.uk/greener

Due to continued demand from universities and colleges, we are recruiting for three Project Officers that will deliver our award-winning engagement programmes, Green Impact and Student Switch Off, into individual institutions.

You will be responsible for delivering all aspects of the projects at a number of universities and colleges each academic year, including planning, communications, running events, driving social media, and reporting. You will lead on managing our relationship with various stakeholders at each institution, as well as being the interface between NUS and individuals across each institution and students’ union.

We are looking for talented and motivated individuals who have experience of delivering successful engagement programmes and a track-record of being able to develop great relationships with a variety of stakeholders. You will need to be confident, reliable and flexible, able to juggle multiple demands on your time, and happy to work both as a close-knit team and remotely. If this sounds like you, and if you are passionate about helping others to reduce their environmental impacts, then please apply!

Two of the posts are to be based in London (one 12-month fixed term position and one 6.5-month maternity cover position) and one in Cardiff (12-month fixed term). Please state your preference for location(s) and position on the application form. You only need to apply once to be considered for multiple locations.
