Under general direction, responsible for driving the planning, developing and implementing of business growth and internally-focused sustainability strategies, offerings and innovations at the global level for Johnson Controls' Building Efficiency business.
Works closely with various business units across the organization to frame business problems and opportunities, develop solutions to drive business growth, and create the business cases and communications to explain value to clients -- all focused around topics of energy efficiency and environmental sustainability. Involves direct interaction and collaboration with multiple functions (i.e. Marketing, Sales, Solution Development, Operations, Learning & Development, Engineering, and others). Working within the broader Building Efficiency Energy & Sustainability team, this individual can expect to:
1.Drive sustainability initiatives and programs. This includes: designing, developing, implementing and deploying processes and tools that build the field understanding and skills to drive business growth through energy efficiency and sustainability offerings, or to embed sustainability within core lines of business
2.Drive the development of programs in the areas of sustainability policy, market research, communications and workforce development.
3.Provide coordination and facilitation for project teams working on sustainability programs.
4.Support specific business development, outreach, conference and other customer opportunities as needed and appropriate
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Economics, Business, Public Policy, Environmental Studies, or related discipline. Master's degree strongly preferred. Minimum of two years of experience or equivalent in consulting, policy research, business development, or R&D. Ability to think conceptually, communicate clearly, and manage time effectively.
