Embed environmental and sustainability criteria/ actions into all new projects at the bid stage by integrating our sustainability offering with our approach to design, procurement, construction and operation
Demonstrate to potential clients how Skanska can add value to their operations and support their sustainability aspirations
Champion the implementation of the Strategic Environmental Plan and monitor progress across all activities
Lead and guide the team of Project Environmental Mangers/Advisors
Drive the development of effective Project Environmental Plans from bidding through delivery, to take advantage of major environmental opportunities and manage environmental risks
Keep up to date with legislation changes that may impact on the business
Liaise with government authorities, clients and other interested parties on environmental issues
Represent and promote Skanska on external forums and conferences
Profile
Extensive experience in environmental /sustainability management and in design/ construction
Demonstrable leadership in sustainability
Track record of leading a high-achieving team
Experience in the implementation of ISO14001 compliant management systems Interpretation and practical implementation of environmental legislation
