The Position:
As the Environmental Sustainability Engagement Leader your role will be to increase staff engagement and awareness of the CSIRO Environmental Sustainability Strategy (ESS) across CSIRO. Critical elements of success in the role involve the ability to build on the various existing local activities to create a groundswell of local and cross-organisational environmental sustainability initiatives. In addition, you will build and support internal networks and communities to accelerate awareness, interest, participation and leadership in environmental sustainability. All of these aspects are crucial to support our goal of becoming carbon neutral and halving water and waste to landfill by 2015.
Specifically you will:
- Provide advice to regarding approaches to effect measurable sustainability behavioural changes within CSIRO
Refine and implement a staff engagement plan
- Actively drive the behavioural change and communication aspects of the Environmental Sustainability Strategy
- Establish a creative events and communications calendar to maximise the impact of the Environmental Sustainability Strategy
- Manage the development and publication of communication content for the Environmental Sustainability Strategy

Salary: $73K - $93K Plus up to 15.4% Superannuation

- Strong commitment to team-based processes and outcomes
- Demonstrated knowledge of environment sustainability principles and experience in the development, implementation, promotion and project management of successful innovative solutions
- Demonstrated change management and marketing/communication experience
- Demonstrated experience in the effective utilisation of multi-channel communication methods, including web-based, electronic and printed approaches
