The University of Cambridge is seeking a knowledgeable and committed individual to join the University's Sustainability Team as the Sustainability Coordinator.

The Sustainability Team is responsible for developing and implementing long-term plans to improve the University's performance across a wide range of areas of environmental sustainability through the University's Environmental Sustainability Vision, Policy and Strategy.

This role will contribute to the delivery of several of these aims through the delivery of a wide range of environmental sustainability projects and initiatives. In particular, this role leads on the implementation and monitoring of a University-wide Waste Strategy and assists the Assistant Sustainability Manager to establish and maintain a University wide Environmental Management System including responsibility for maintaining the University's legal compliance register, providing advice and training to staff, conducting internal audits and addressing non-conformities, contract management, and engaging with a variety of stakeholders at all levels.

Candidates should have direct experience in the development and management of environmental sustainability projects including the development and implementation of project plans. Candidates should have knowledge of a range of environment sustainability matters, in particular those relating to waste reduction, environmental legislation and Environmental Management Systems and a passion for, and knowledge of, a range of environmental sustainability-related issues.
