Waterman is a leading engineering and environmental consultancy providing multi-disciplinary services to the property, infrastructure, energy and environmental markets around the world.

 

Due to an increasing and diverse workload an opportunity has arisen for a Consultant-to-Senior Consultant to join Waterman’s Infrastructure & Environment team. The successful candidate will have a fantastic opportunity to work on a wide variety of exciting projects in the urban regeneration, education, healthcare, property, waste, and energy sectors.

 

The candidate should have an excellent level of sustainability experience, but also understand the dynamic and ever changing demands of delivering sustainable solutions, and above all have the ability to recognise the importance of providing a cost effective high quality service to meet our client’s demands.

 

Core responsibilities of the position include:

 

  • Deliver BREEAM, Code for Sustainable Homes / Home Quality Mark, and Sustainability Assessments for property projects and, if required, support our international client’s needs;
  • Licensed BREEAM assessor with track record. Other qualifications would be of benefit – LEED, SKA, Well AP etc;
  • Be able to work reasonably autonomously with excellent communication skills (including liaison with clients and design teams and technical report writing);
  • Ability to provide a holistic approach to sustainability in the built and natural environment;
  • Technical knowledge of sustainability in the built and natural environment within the fields of energy, water, waste and carbon management;
  • Experience or interest within one or more areas of sustainability – climate change adaptation, green infrastructure, water footprinting / management and conservation, CSR and sustainability reporting, embodied carbon assessments / carbon footprinting / management, LCA, behaviour change, sustainable construction management etc;
  • Be willing to be involved and add value to other integrated  services including waste management, energy and carbon management, CSR, environmental assessment, environmental management and due diligence;
  • Experience in a range of sectors would be desirable;
  • Positive and proactive approach; and
  • Experience in writing fee proposals, winning new business and building relationships with potential clients would be an advantage.

 

Candidates for this role will be degree qualified with a track record in relevant experience for a minimum of two years.

 

Flexible on Location – can be based in our London, Bristol or Birmingham office, however travel to London will be required to ensure face to face meeting with our London based clients.
