Southern Solar Ltd is an expanding Solar Energy installation company. We provide a high quality professional service with an emphasis on customer satisfaction. Our main work is the installation of solar thermal and solar electric systems for domestic, public sector and commercial clients.

Due to increased growth we are looking for a capable and well organised salesperson to join our team at the Sussex Branch.  The branch utilizes a technical sales approach. .   

Job Description

• Coordinate with the Sales Support Coordinator to schedule appointments for domestic customer surveys.
• Travel to customer locations for site survey.  
• Conduct domestic surveys.  Explain current benefits of PV/SHW to potential customer.  Gather all necessary site specific information required to produce a system design and quote.
• Produce system designs and quotes using architectural plans..
• Follow up on quotes generated and close sales to meet individual sales target set by branch manager.
• Produce a clear handover package for the installation team for closed sales. 
• Enter all customer contact, communication, and quote information in our CRM database.
• Attend marketing events and exhibitions as directed by the branch manager.
• Support project managers and installers.
• Actively look for ways to assist colleagues.

EXPERIENCE
Essential

• A proven track record in delivering Solar System sales to target
• Experience of sales in peoples’ homes
• Experience of delivering a high level of customer service
• An enthusiasm and passion for renewable energy

Desirable
• Basic knowledge of solar thermal and electric system design

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Essential
• Excellent IT skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office suite 
• Excellent social and communication skills
• Excellent time management and organisational skills

Desirable
• Degree level qualification 2.2 or above
• Sales training

CHARACTER

Essential 
• Self starter
• Proactive attitude to problem solving 
• Self-confident 

OTHER

Essential
• Full clean driving licence
• Legal right to work in the UK

• A salary of £22 - 27k depending on experience (for a 45 hour week).
