Southern Solar Ltd is an expanding Solar Energy installation company with 7 branches across the South of England and Wales, and 85 directly employed staff. We provide a high quality professional service with an emphasis on customer satisfaction and team work. Our main work is the design and installation of solar electric and thermal systems for domestic, public sector and commercial clients. We presently have a vacancy for an Assistant Project Manager to join our team just outside Lewes, E. Sussex.
 
Job Description

• Assist with project management of installations
• Prepare pre, install and post install paperwork for domestic and commercial projects
• Communicate with customers throughout the installation process 
• Manage domestic installation scheduling and project progress in liaison with branch manager
• Coordinate scaffold build and take down 
• Order parts for the jobs, ensure parts availability 
• Update and maintain stock data in the computer inventory management system 
• Receive deliveries
• Deal with customer maintenance requests
• Assist with installations during very busy periods
• Assist the Installation Manager and Install Team as necessary

Experience, Skills and Qualifications

Essential:

•    Practical experience of SHW and/or PV system installation project management.
•    Experience communicating directly with customers, suppliers, and engineering professionals 
•    Great communication skills, proven ability to work in a team
•    Problem solving skills using own initiative to ensure installation projects and teams are properly deployed
• A focus on accuracy
•    Ability to manage your own time effectively
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite

Desirable:

•    Project Management Training
•    Design level knowledge of solar electric and solar thermal systems
•    CAD and Sketch Up software familiarity
•    Some knowledge of plumbing and electrical systems
•    Experience of building sites
•    Salesforce experience

Other

•    Able to work a range of hours as necessary.
•    Legal right to work in the UK
•    Manual Handling skills. Fully fit and able to work at height
•    Full clean driving licence, own vehicle
•    Enthusiasm for renewable energies


Benefits and Remuneration

•    A salary of £22,000 – £27,000 for a 45 hour week, depending on experience
•    Company bonus scheme, training opportunities
•    22 days paid holiday plus bank holidays 
•    Option on stakeholder pension
