Description

Location: Godalming, Surrey

Salary: £28,000 (or more dependent on experience)

Compassion in World Farming is recognised as the leading international farm animal welfare organisation, actively campaigning to improve the lives of farmed animals around the world. We exist to end factory farming – and you could join us in tackling the biggest form of animal cruelty on the planet.

Compassion receives no government funding so relies entirely on the generosity of supporters to prevent cruelty to farm animals all over the world. Our supporters are absolutely vital to our effectiveness as a campaigning organisation.

An exciting role has opened up in our Supporter Services team for someone to champion the stewardship of donors, campaigners and fundraisers; deepening their engagement, activity and loyalty to Compassion. Our aim is to maximise an active and enjoyable supporter experience.

The role will also have specific responsibilities to develop UK volunteer fundraising strategies that meet and surpass volunteer fundraising income targets year on year.

Set within a vibrant Fundraising and Supporter Services team, this role is essential to the activities of Compassion. You will need to have proven team management experience, budget-handling skills, a natural customer service style and the ability to communicate with a wide variety of individuals; and will need to juggle a variety of tasks and workloads. No two days are the same.

Excellent interpersonal skills, both oral and written are needed and a creative approach to problem solving. Good database and computer literacy and an interest in process management will all advantage.

The successful applicant will have the ability to work autonomously, but will enjoy the full support of the fundraising team as a whole. You will thrive in a dynamic and ever evolving environment.

Applicants should also possess a keen interest, if not passion, for animal welfare.
