Description

We have a new opportunity for a Supporter Relations Assistant in our Communications and Public Affairs Department reporting to the Head of Communications.

This position would suit an individual passionate about delivering excellent customer service to our supporters. They must be a team player, able to prioritise workload and thorough in completing tasks to a high standard. 

Telephone based customer service experience and exemplary communications and interpersonal skills are required for this role together with a sound knowledge of Microsoft packages, office administration and the use of the internet.

The purpose of the role is to build and maintain strong and effective relationships with League’s supporters. The main functions include:

Providing effective responses to membership and supporter enquiries and ad hoc queries (written and verbal), promote good relations and build a positive profile for the League.

Assisting the Public Affairs team by collecting and inputting parliamentary correspondence and information.

Reviewing information for supporters and members, proof reading final drafts and arranging distribution.  Ensure that information is kept up to date on the campaign pages of the website.

Providing active and effective control of relations with supporters to maintain and extend informed support for the League and its activities, including:

facilitating and encouraging the development of the League’s supporter network, including supporter recruitment
providing relevant information, leaflets and publicity
facilitating supporter fundraising activity 
facilitating the participation of the League’s supporters in core campaigns

Participating effectively in the League’s core campaigns as required and undertaking projects managing allocated resources, staff and office systems as required.

This will be a part time position 21 hours a week preferably over five days.
