Support Specialist - Foreign National Affairs

NREL has an immediate need for an Support Specialist with experience in the area of Foreign National Affairs. The chosen candidate will provide specialized support to the NREL Foreign National Affairs group within the Human Resources Office. Position will report to the Manager of Talent Management & Acquisition, which includes the Foreign National Affairs group. Individual will work as part of a team that manages all Foreign National visits and assignments.
Duties will include, but are not limited, to the following:
•Administrative processing of new H-1B visas and visa extensions
•Administrative processing of J-1 visas in coordination with DOE
•Ability to effectively work with outsourced legal resources on relevant foreign national issues
•Provide intermediate to advanced SharePoint and theSource support and administration for HR department
•Support and development of Captivate training in the HR Office
•Proficient data entry into FACTS database
•Interfacing with various levels of staff throughout laboratory via phone or email.
•Basic use of office equipment: faxes, phones, printers, scanners
•Full-cycle processing of Foreign National paperwork processes
•Respond effectively to changing priorities. 
•Perform other duties, as required.
High School Diploma or equivalent and 4 or more years of experience or equivalent relevant education/experience.

Or, relevant Associate's Degree or certification program of comparable scope and 2 or more years of experience or equivalent relevant education/experience.
Full knowledge of specialized focused business support functions. Complete understanding of the general and detailed aspects of the business support activities, and their practical applications to problems and situations ordinarily encountered.

Fully competent in applicable software packages and office equipment. Demonstrated project administration skills. Full knowledge of specific principles, procedures and practices related to supported fields and disciplines. Strong written and verbal communication skills, team and interpersonal skills.
•Strong attention to detail, documenting, and proofreading skills
•Experience with FACTS database
•Experience using Captivate
•Basic skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and Microsoft Outlook 
•Intermediate to advanced SharePoint and theSOURCE skills to support and administer changes
•Excellent communicator skills with contact by phone or email for information, etc
•Ability to learn quickly.
•Excellent interpersonal, communications, teamwork
•Must have excellent customer service and good organization skills.
