The position:
We are seeking a self-motivated and innovative Support Scientist for a new position within the division. You will assist our Senior Researchers with exciting projects, which will involve researching the emissions from sources including coal mine sites and those using fossil fuels including those utilising carbon capture technologies.

Specifically you will:

  • help develop and use sampling devices and technologies on industrial and urban environments,
  • contributing to Group and Project publications, and 
  • determination of organic species in the emissions from the use of fossil fuels and carbon capture technologies

Location:  North Ryde, NSW
Salary:     $70K - $80K plus up to 15.4% superannuation

To be considered you will hold a BSc with major in physical chemistry, physics. engineering or applied science and can demonstrate 

  • Ability to conduct a broad range of experimental procedures and associated data analysis,
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to document results and communicate effectively with colleagues and clients in order to meet project goals and timelines
  • Ability to work flexibly and independently as well as part of a team and to form and maintain effective working relationships with a range of colleagues and clients
