The person in this role will help implement water and energy conservation programs and solid waste reduction initiatives in NAB manufacturing plants and warehouses. They will work closely with manufacturing and warehouse operations personnel to implement projects that reduce plant energy and water use and to improve plant operating costs.
- Participate in and eventually lead manufacturing plant energy and water use audits to assess improvement opportunities.
- Prioritize manufacturing plant audit results and prepare action item lists that plants and Resource Conservation teams can use to reduce energy and water use.
- Assist plants in completing energy and water use reduction tasks that deliver the greatest financial and utility savings
- Prioritize capital investments identified on plant conservation action lists and prepare capital expenditure requests to secure capital funding
- Develop engineering plans, specifications and scope of work to complete capital projects and manage these projects from conception to start up.
- Work with plant operations and maintenance staff to implement non-capital tactics to deliver utility savings.
- Train plant operations and maintenance staff to effectively operate utility systems (water treatment, boilers, compressors, HVAC units, etc.) ensuring they operate efficiently.
- Deliver $1MM in annual productivity in utilities, maintenance or other operational cost savings.
- Be able to travel between 30-50%.
Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree in engineering
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in engineering or manufacturing.
- Experience in beverage manufacturing is preferred.
- Effectively work with employees at all levels in an organization and persuade operations and maintenance teams to modify existing procedures.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to self-define priorities and direct activities of others.
- Familiarity with PepsiCo's ReCon tools is preferred.

- Proven track record identifying consumer insights and translating them into effective business programs
- Ability to read and analyze financials, consumer research, and syndicated data and trends
