Fairtrade International currently has a Student Assistant position available in its  Strategy and Policy Unit  
Reports to: Climate Change and Policy Development Officer.

Tasks:

Overall: Provide logistical, administrative, organizational, and other work related services to
support the Climate Change and Policy Development Officer in developing the Climate Finance
Project to support Fairtrade producers adapt and mitigate climate change, such as, for example:
• Research on funding opportunities and potential partner organizations.
•    Assist in the preparation and compilation of documents.
• Assist in the revision and editing of documents.  
• Track record of proposals submitted and next steps.
• Assist in organizing meetings.
 
Requirements:
• Studies in the field of environmental sciences, development, political sciences or related
field.
• Excellent English (Working knowledge of French and / or Spanish would be an asset).
• Structured approach and strong analytical skills.
• Communication and intercultural skills.
• Excellent research and writing skills.
• Excellent organizational/coordination skills.
• Motivation for the cause of Fairtrade.
• Some experience in developing countries (e.g., work, internships, travels) an asset.
• Only applicants can be considered who are enrolled in German universities.
