Are you passionate about the wider Climate Emergency Agenda and want to inspire change? Maidstone Borough Council has an exciting opportunity to join the Transformation and Digital Services Team driving forward and developing the Biodiversity and Climate Change Strategy and Action Plan.

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with strong organisational skills to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders delivering a programme of projects to achieve our action plan and goals. You will need a good understanding of the cause and impacts of climate change, energy efficiency measures, renewable energy systems, sustainable building techniques, and biodiversity.

You will need to be able to work on your own initiative and actively seek out funding and collaboration opportunities. Within this role you will be expected to come up with creative ways to get actions delivered with limited resources. You’ll need to provide updates to senior officers and members on progress against actions, including highlighting any risks to the timely delivery of the plan and suggesting mitigating actions for these risks.

The Council considers that all roles should be able to communicate clearly and concisely.

This is a full-time position on a permanent contract.
