This is an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of shaping growth in Oxfordshire. This role is responsible for leading the Environment & Resource Efficiency team and Major Planning Applications team which both play a fundamental role in enabling growth across the County, it also plays a key role in the Strategy & Infrastructure Leadership team that is responsible for the growth and place shaping agenda for the county including planning regulation, transport strategy and infrastructure funding.

The post holder will have strong leadership competencies with experience in programme and people management. They will have experience of working in a political environment, balancing competing pressures and giving clear advice in such circumstances. The post holder will be able to focus on strategic and long term issues, whilst developing and enabling effective partnerships and external relationships.
