Location: United Kingdom. Position based at the NEPCon office in London.
Details: 12 months - with a view to becoming permanent. Full-time position.

Summary of Position:
Would you like to be in charge of business development, marketing and sales of our services in a key market such as the UK and Ireland? Are you experienced in financial management and business planning, and see yourself as a driving force for new developments? Do you possess excellent staff and team coaching skills? Do you see the chance to foster sustainable land use as an added job bonus?

If so, then you may the person we are looking for to provide leadership in implementing NEPCon business development and sales goals for the UK and Ireland. You will also expand the reach and visibility of NEPCon as well as develop our relationship with key stakeholders. You will effectively manage NEPCon’s client portfolio.

Scope of Work:
Marketing & sale of existing and new NEPCon services
• Market & sell existing and new NEPCon services to potential commercial and forest industry organisations;
• Business planning, business development and bringing new services to the market;
• Financial management and budgeting;
• Develop and meet sales and business targets for the region;
• Identify new alliances and develop NEPCon’s network capacity with NGOs, commercial and non-commercial organisations and other stakeholders.
Project Management & Quality Control
• Manage the UK/Ireland client portfolio for existing and new NEPCon services, ensuring successful, timely and quality execution of FSC/PEFC certification services (and other NEPCon services) in the UK/Ireland;
• Daily management of staff and recruitment of new staff when needed;
• Ensure adequate resources and cultivate and develop a strong technical team to permit quality of service provision and growth;
• Secure efficiency, quality in work and adherence to NEPCon’s technical and administration certification protocols;
• Ensure excellent customer service (both administrative and technical) provision.

We are looking for:
Qualifications & Experience
• Preferably with university training in fields related to Forestry, Forest Products, Natural Resources Management, or similar;
• Preferably with experience in forestry sector or the forest products industry or related;
• Proven experience to effectively market products or services;
• Demonstrated strong planning, analytical, and project management skills, with ability to juggle and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines;
• Demonstrated staff management or supervisory skills
• Knowledge of FSC/PEFC/ISO certification an advantage;
• Some international work experience preferable.
Skills & Personal Characteristics
• Good sales and communication (spoken/written) skills
• Good business sense and financial management skills
• Excellent staff management and support skills
• Ability to be flexible and take initiative in a changing and fast-growing environment;
• A professional, diplomatic and tactful approach is essential;
• Strong level of computer literacy
Also Essential
• Willingness to travel up to 50% of time within UK and Ireland. Some European travel required also.

• Belief in the mission and activities of Rainforest Alliance/NEPCon and forest certification as a means to improve the state of the world's forests is essential.
• Personal interest in environmental issues and motivation to improve global environmental conditions
