Title Staff Scientist

Description Qualified candidates for this position will be responsible for working on advanced technology development in the area of photovoltaic devices, systems, and related topics. The position will involve work with semiconductor materials, device design, processing, testing, and integration on both IR&D and sponsored programs. Specifically, this includes research and development of photovoltaic devices, analysis of data, design of experiments, photovoltaic device design, growth and processing of photovoltaic devices, developing test methodologies and capabilities, and troubleshooting issues associated with optimization of photovoltaic devices. This is a multi-faceted job that will require flexibility as well as an ability to learn and develop new technology.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities may include:
1. Interaction with customers on sponsored programs,
2. Understanding design requirements, both at a device and system level,
3. Development of new technology areas related to photovoltaic devices,
4. Analysis of performance data of III/V semiconductor PV devices,
5. Interact with outer scientists and engineers on device design,
6. DOEs for optimization of the performance of PV devices through analysis of growth and processing,
7. Troubleshooting performance issues associated with PV device performance, 
8. Developing test capabilities,
9. Development of systems incorporating PV devices, 
10. Working with teams that transition products developed in R&D into manufacturing, 
11. Report and proposal writing, 
12. Leadership of a team of scientists, engineers, and technicians on specific internally and externally supported projects.
Requirements Requirements:

The ability to work in a team environment to solve complex problems is necessary. 
Report and proposal writing will also be part of the job responsibilities. 
Preferable PhD, but qualified candidates with MS or BS with at least 5 years of experience will be considered. 
Experience working with III/V semiconductor PV 
US Citizenship is required.
Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
