From its origins as a small group of committed wildlife enthusiasts, WWF has grown into one of the world's largest and most respected independent conservation organizations – supported by 5 million people and active in over 100 countries on five continents. The Siphandone, Stung Treng, Kratie (SSK) is an area that stretches along the Mekong River from Kratie province into Lao PDR with exceptionally rich biodiversity and natural resources. WWF-Cambodia is looking for a qualified Senior Research Officer who will responsible to plan, implement, and coordinate scientific research on species and ecosystems and the work will focus on the Mekong River basin from Kratie to the Lao border and on the major tributaries – the Sekong, Sesan, and Srepok Rivers in Kratie and Stung Treng provinces. The Senior Research Officer will also responsible to coordinate WWF research activities with the Cambodian government, other NGOs, and independent researchers working in the program area and to Implement monitoring system of SSK Research Program - filling APMS, species monitoring trackers. The full-time position is to be based in Kratie Province, Cambodia.
