Description
 JOB PURPOSE: Responsible for targeting “Corporate” companies, in order for EcoSecurities to provide carbon neutral schemes and products. The candidate will work closely with other members of the global commercialisation team identifying new opportunities and deal structures to successfully leverage EcoSecurities as a leader in the global carbon market. The focus will be specifically in Voluntary and new markets.
  
 KEY RESULTS AREAS: ·         Work with management on sales strategy and sell/close product packages to meet their business goals·         To target “Corporate” companies, in order to provide carbon neutral schemes and products therefore building revenue streams.·         To develop proposals to outline EcoSecurities products and services, in order to win tenders and new business. ·         To develop a CRM database of all existing and new potential clients and build market intelligence on leaders in corporate social responsibility and the environment.·         Build a portfolio of contacts among buyers of carbon products and services and develop relationships with key industry leaders.·         Successfully communicate and promote EcoSecurities’ products within the voluntary (and compliance) markets, including speaking at conferences, industry events helping to position EcoSecurities as a market leader.·         Write articles and thought pieces on relevant subjects to raise EcoSecurities profile as well as develop other communication networks and channels. ·         Accumulate market intelligence on both pricing and contract structures within the market. Bringing to bear knowledge on carbon market dynamics and their implications for market size and pricing.
  • Pursue the expansion of commercialisation group activities in related markets.
  
    
 KNOWLEDGE SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Essential 
  • The ideal candidate should have at least 5 years sales and marketing experience within carbon, energy or related markets and/or be able to demonstrate a successful and proven track record in sourcing and winning new business and building long term partnerships with clients.
  • Candidates must have excellent sales skills to successfully bring in new business and respond to an ever-changing market, and strong relationship skills for follow-up sales and service with existing accounts.
  • Applicants must be able to demonstrate strong skills in initiating high-level contacts in “Corporates”, acquiring sales presentation opportunities and the ability to close business.
·         Demonstrated track record and ability to negotiate and manage the deal process from initiation to legal contracting and delivery.
  • The candidate will need to use their initiative in a fast developing market, maintain good team-work skills and remain abreast of developments within the company.
  • Candidates should have good communication skills and be numerate. Candidates must demonstrate exceptional customer focus and be confident communicators in phone, written and face-to-face settings.
  • The candidate should demonstrate a good knowledge of, and most importantly enthusiasm for, both the carbon market and developments in the environmental sphere.
 Preferred ·         High level of numeracy and literacy skills.·         Communication and co-ordination of market information·         Ability to think creatively and laterally in relation to transaction obstacles as well as business expansion opportunities   
   
 COMMUNICATION AND WORKING RELATIONSHIPS: ·         Working with other team members to target new clients and write proposals for the provision of EcoSecurities products and services.·         Engage in contract negotiations with buyers and liase with legal and other team members regarding more detailed contract negotiations.·         Working with the consulting team in the provision of corporate strategy services
  • Communicate market developments to other colleagues and other groups within the company and provide support where necessary on other deal structures.
