We seek an experienced Sr. Environmental Scientist with a background of terrestrial ecologist to Environmental Protection Department.
Duties and responsibilities include the following:
A terrestrial ecologist is required to provide technical support and expertise in the discipline of desert ecology, protection of terrestrial ecosystems, and relocation/protection of threatened or endangered species affected by Saudi Aramco projects and operations The terrestrial ecologist will assist in scoping and reviewing Environmental Impact Assessments prepared for major capital projects and will provide expert advice and technical assistance to proponent organizations related to terrestrial ecology, flora and fauna, endangered species, defined wetlands, taxonomy, and critical habitat studies The candidate should be capable of developing and leading environmental impact studies and programs related to sensitive environments and remote desert habitat The candidate should be familiar with standard requirements of environmental impact assessment preparation and reviews
Minimum Requirement:
Bachelor's degree in relevant discipline required (preferably in biology and ecology); master's degree preferred. Must have verifiable relevant experience, including field work in desert environments, preferably in the Middle East. References required.

Candidates must be self-directed and capable of working with minimal supervision.
