Squirrelpox Survey Officers (fixed term)

Salary c£16,500 pa

35 hours per week

From mid-June until end October 2015

Home-based with working areas in:

East Dunbartonshire-North Lanarkshire-Falkirk-Stirling area.

As part of a project to investigate how far squirrelpox disease has spread through the grey squirrel populations of the Central Belt, we are now recruiting a squirrelpox survey officer to sample across a key part of the area, namely East Dunbartonshire-North Lanarkshire-Falkirk-Stirling.

The successful candidate will be experienced in grey squirrel control but training will be given in taking blood samples for squirrelpox testing.

The successful candidate will hold the SVQ/NVQ level 2 or equivalent qualification in Game and Wildlife Management or related discipline, and have a good understanding of conservation principles, practices and legislation.
