ZSL’s mission is to promote and achieve the worldwide conservation of animals and their habitats. This is realised by carrying out field conservation and research in over 50 countries across the globe and through education and awareness-raising at our two zoos, ZSL London Zoo and ZSL Whipsnade Zoo, inspiring people to take conservation action.

  • Arrange, deliver and collaborate on workshops, webinars and meetings, as required, for SPOTT-related outreach.
  • Advocating for improvements in the way target audiences monitor and manage environmental risk and ensuring impact within the corporate transparency agenda.
  • Support the line manager with Technical Advisory Group engagement and other consultation activities relevant to the strategy and direction of SPOTT.
  • Work with the line manager and other SPOTT team members and wider CP staff as required to support ZSL’s corporate transparency agenda.

Person Specification:
  • BSc/BA degree in a relevant subject and work experience in a relevant field; a Masters would be desirable.
  • Prior experience working in a field relevant to business and biodiversity and/or sustainable finance, with relevance to corporate transparency and sustainable commodities.
  • Excellent organisational skills and strong interpersonal and communication skills, both face to face and in writing; to include presentations and the running of, and/or participation in, workshops.
  • Experience with project management, budgets, stakeholder relations and workshops is expected, and experience developing and implementing strategy is desired.
  • Ability to think and act strategically and with confidence, particularly for engagement with partners and stakeholders relevant to the project.
