My client is amongst  the leading renewable energy providers globally and have a very strong business plan and balance sheet. They specialize in the manufacturing of crystalline silicon modules and are also a leading residential, commercial and utility-scale solar PV developer with a strong market presence in Europe, the USA and the Asia-Pacific regions.

Position Overview:
This position reports directly to the Product Development and Technology Director.  The Solar Technology Manager currently has two direct employees reporting to this position.  The main responsibilities of this key position will be to lead and manage Balance of System (BOS) and energy integration/management technology program; taking technology concepts into commercialization to support best in class installed cost/watt strategies to realize the benefits of solar technologies.  Key technology strategy involvement will be with mounting structures, trackers, invertors, cables, energy management systems such as battery/fuel cells, micro-inventor/convertor technologies, smart grid applications, and management of key research partnerships.

Responsibilities:-

  • ·         Lead and manage Balance of System (BOS) and energy integration/management technology program
  • ·         Develope technical competence on turnkey PV power plants
  • ·         Taking technology concepts into commercialization to support best in class installed cost/watt strategies to realize the benefits of solar technologies
  • ·         Benchmarked different PV panels and BOS components from technology, maintenance and financial prospective
  • ·         Develop new balance of system product enabling cost efficient deployment of solar PV systems
  • ·         Direct creation of internal and external manuals including Operations & Maintenance, Design, Installation and Commissioning to ensure smooth system execution, transition and operation.

Education:-

  • ·         Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science field
  • ·         Master’s degree in Engineering or Science field or MBA preferred

Core Requirements:-

  • ·         Minimum 10 years in research and development or product engineering
  • ·         Minimum 5 years experience in PV industry
  • ·         Minimum 3 years in a management or supervisory position
  • ·         Experience in a global - multicultural environment
  • ·         Development and leadership in solar technology roadmaps
  • ·         Experience in integration of PV technologies into residential, commercial, and utility segments
  • ·         Knowledgeable of industry standards, certifications, and policies
  • ·         Experience managing key projects with suppliers, government, and research institutions
  • ·         Knowledge/experience with key markets and differentiators to support solar technology roadmap development

Key Skills:-

Solar PV, development and leadership in solar technology roadmaps, experience in integration of PV technologies into residential, commercial, and utility segments, knowledge of industry standards, certifications, and policies and experience managing key projects with suppliers, government, and research institutions.
