Solar System Project Designer

The Systems Project Designer functionally reports to a Senior Project Designer, and, as part of a dynamic cross functional team, supports sales, product development, customer care, and applications engineering. He/she assists in the overall PV Land Development and optimization process. The Project Designer is also responsible for supporting internal Project Development and external clients in optimizing site selection and minimizing site specific costs.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Technical support for the design, site evaluation and development of photovoltaic power plant projects worldwide
• Determine site specific design parameters
• Design site array layouts following design parameters
• Support Systems in optimizing site selection and minimizing site specific costs
• Respond to requests for information and other departments on short notice

Education:

• IIT B.Tech Degree in Civil Engineering or relevant field + 2 years relevant experience, or M.Tech

Experience and Qualifications:

• Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
• 2+ years experience drafting with AutoCAD
• Strong familiarity with US and European construction design and practices
• Photovoltaic experience is a plus, but not required
• Passion for solar is a plus
• Some travel may be required
