Description
The Solar Sales Manager will lead the regional solar sales efforts and work cooperatively with the Power Generation (PG) Sales teams to achieve regional sales goals for solar sales. In this role, you will lead and define regional strategies, build customer relationships to maximize sales, and coordinate with support organizations as necessary.
- Provide direct Sales and account management for defined key customers in assigned territories selling solar parts and services.
- Financial objectives will be quarterly based on: Orders/Sales Growth and Profitability.
- Strategic objectives will include; Increased market penetration, development of Sales literature and tools; competitive information and strategic recommendations., Customer Satisfaction, and Cross Business (PG) Interactions.
- Grow revenues by and identifying additional business opportunities
- Manage the Inquiry to Order (ITO) process with customers and be accountable for orders pricing/ profitability, risk, and terms and condition, services and customer satisfaction.
- Work with utility officials, industry and renewable (solar) associations to influence legislation and drive power generation growth in the assigned territory.
- Participate / Present at Industry Events & Seminars to represent and promote GE Renewables.
- Integrate activities with GE Energy team as well as other GE businesses to leverage full sales and services capabilities.
- Strong understanding of solar market and technology
- Ability and willingness to travel
- Sales / Commercial experience with a solid track record.
- Able to discuss complex technology in a clear and concise manner with a variety of audiences.
- Consistent track record of meeting performance objectives.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, ability to interface with all levels of internal and external personnel.
- Demonstrated operational experience, commercial and process skills
- MBA or Business Masters degress from an accredited institution.
- Six Sigma training
