Solar PV sales and sourcing manager, Jiangsu, China

My client is a leading distributor of solar panels and equipment to renewable energy developers across North America. They are looking for a sales and sourcing manager who can be based in their China offices but also travel frequently to North America.

Responsibilities of the role will be:

• Sourcing solar PV equipment (including modules, inverters, cables etc) from companies in China
• Finding the best deals and negotiating large orders
• Ensuring that all equipment purchased is of a suitably high level of quality
• Selling solar photovoltaic equipment to clients in the US and Canada looking to develop solar PV power plants in a cost efficient way
• Reaching sales targets on a monthly basis
• Travelling frequently (up to 75% of the time)

Skills and qualifications include:

• Proven track record in the solar PV industry
• Fluent in spoken Mandarin is a very strong advantage and ability to read and write in the language would also be a plus
• Fluency in spoken and written English is essential
• Strong understanding of the US solar market (distributors and installers) is essential
• Proactive, hard working and ambitious approach
