Solar PV Project Manager, New Jersey, USA

My client is a national EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction) company which is active in number of renewable energy industries. They are very active in the construction and development of commercial, municipal and utilities scale projects and are currently looking for an experienced project manager to work on such solar projects and be based in their New Jersey office

My Client is looking for a strong project manager in the solar industry who has a proven track record in the coordinating the successful development of large scale solar PV (photovoltaic) power plants and projects. You will be responsible for coordinating

Responsibilities:

• ·         Responsible for the origination, development and sales of international large scale solar photovoltaic (PV) projects up to financial close in Italy
• ·         Identify, assess and create project development opportunities in America
• ·         Conduct market analysis and feasibility and risk assessment studies on a daily basis
• ·         Negotiation and acquisition of lease agreements and securing grid connections and building permits
• ·         Proactively sourcing new investors and projects to grow the business
• ·         Will be managing multiple projects simultaneously to strict deadlines and to above satisfactory standards
• ·         Assessing profitability of projects and successful development including the preparation of land for construction
• ·         Project negotiations (with diverse project partners such as local developers, IPPs or utilities)
• ·         Defining and working within budgetary constraints
• ·         Project financing
• ·         Develop and set up local strategic partnerships with utilities, project developers, IPPs

Education:

• ·         BSc/MSc in electrical, civil, mechanical engineering or equivalent qualification of relevance

Core Requirements:

• ·         Minimum 3-5 years experience, with a proven track record in the development and management of large scale solar photovoltaic (PV) projects
• ·         Must have experience in managing contsruction and project engineers efficiently and effectively
• ·         Be abke to compelte project to tight deadlines
• ·         Excellent communications skills
• ·         Excellent commercial experience

General Requirements:

• ·         Good oral and written communications skills  
• ·         Must be willing to relocate to New Jersey
