Description: Position Description:

This position will be responsible for identifying and managing commercial and utility scale solar project opportunities which are typically greater than 1 MW in size. The person filling this position will be a consummate team player and be a self-starting, creative and motivated individual who has a proven history of successfully developing energy projects. This individual would thrive in a dynamic, fast paced environment.
Duties: • Identify, generate and evaluate project development opportunities.
• Understand the incentives, tax environment, financing and energy cost structure within their respective region.
• Have the ability to develop, negotiate and close power purchase agreements with commercial, municipal, and utility clients.
• Assess development opportunities and have the ability to effectively communicate project plans, challenges and necessary outcomes.
• Review and secure sites for solar projects within the region.
• Present the company and its capabilities, including options for project financing, to prospective clients.
• Prepare and deliver proposals and RFP responses.
• Develop and manage a pipeline of prospects and projects.
Qualifications: • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree.
• At least 3 years experience in project development, preferably in the New England region.
• Ability to travel.
• Understanding of energy markets and renewable energy incentives.
