Real Goods Solar, Inc. sells and installs solar energy systems and other eco-friendly products. Real Goods Solar has several locations location throughout California and Colorado. We are looking for experienced sales producers. Our company is looking for bright individuals who want to maximize their earnings while making a positive difference in the world.
PURPOSE OF POSITION: To consultatively sell residential solar electric systems by providing excellent customer service while fostering referral business.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Qualify leads
- Qualify installation site
- Design and sell residential solar electric system
- Provide operations with the necessary information to complete the installations
- Provide customer service for residential solar electric system clients, including general information, referrals, quotations and problem solving
- Stay abreast of solar incentives and rebate guidelines
- Facilitate necessary paperwork for sold systems
- Improve product knowledge and application
- Provide constructive input in technical and operational matters
- Participate in weekly sales meetings
- Maintain harmonious inter-department communications
- Meet and exceed sales quotas
- Execute marketing strategy as requested
- Stay abreast of competitive knowledge in the marketplace
- Provide 24 hour response time to customer inquiries
- Prioritize work with input from division manager
- Act as the customer service liaison during the installation
- Review residential system quotes with Director of Sales prior where special pricing is needed
- Track prospective customers and follow-up with past buyers
- Available to work weekends
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 3 years of successful face-to-face sales experience in the home improvement, financial, real estate, retail, technology and/or professional services industry
- 2 years of in-home solar sales experience preferred
- Proven track record of first time closing ability
- High energy, high urgency, positive, enthusiastic and self-directing
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work a variety of hours - including evenings and weekends
- Excellent computer skills: iPhone or Blackberry provided, Microsoft Office Programs, SalesForce
- Bilingual a plus
