Solar Photovoltaic (PV) Project Engineer, France

My client is a globally renowned solar photovoltaic (PV)  project developer who provide on-grid and off-grid residential, commercial, industrial and utility scale applications around the world. They have subsidiaries across Europe. They are now looking to deliver a number of large projects in France and Eastern Europe and are looking for an experienced individual to join of their team of project engineers.

Position Overview:

My client is looking for and experienced solar project engineer and offers substantial organic growth to those who wish to pursue it and demonstrate the acumen and values that their work ethic is built upon. This is an exciting opportunity for a project engineer to join the vastly emerging Solar PV market which is projected to be the biggest market in France over the next 10 years and expand their portfolio.

Responsibilities:

• ·         Responsible for the origination and development of international large scale solar photovoltaic (PV) projects up to financial close
• ·         Identify and assess project opportunities
• ·         Conduct market analysis and feasibility and risk assessment studies on a daily basis
• ·         Will be working on multiple projects simultaneously to strict deadlines and to above satisfactory standards
• ·         Assessing profitability of projects and successful development including the preparation of land for construction
• ·         Identification of project sites, land procurement, licensing
• ·         Project negotiations (with diverse project partners like local developers, IPPs or utilities)
• ·         Develop and set up local strategic partnerships with utilities, project developers, IPPs

Core Requirements:

• ·         Minimum 3-7 years experience, with a proven track record in the development of solar photovoltaic (PV) projects
• ·         Degree in environmental planning, civil engineering, engineering or equivalent qualification of relevance
• ·         Excellent communications skills
• ·         Excellent commercial experience
• ·         Good oral and written communications skills  
• ·         Project and time management skills

General Requirements:

• Must have excellent (spoken, written and reading)English and French language skills( Italian, German or Spanish beneficial)
• Must be willing to work in France
