Skills: Be able to lead a team to prepare/critically review design of SPV plants , knowledge of EB and safety norms 
Experience Required(Description) : Responsibilities: 1. Should be able to go through enquiries and or RS ad come up with the preliminary design of SPV systems: a. kW systems with and without batteries b. MW systems for grid feed 2. Prepare the BOQ of the system for tenders and offers based on the above. 3. Should be able to prepare tech specs for different items to be used in our PV plants. 4. Should be able to evaluate tech specs offered by vendors against our specs. 5. Should be able to evaluate manufacturing processes of vendors to confirm suitability for our use. 6. Should be able to lead a team to prepare/critically review design of SPV plants (component selection, simulation, cable sizing, routing, loss calculations, drawings to be released to site, etc. on DC, AC and controls side) 7. Should be able to commission a solar plant (Specially MW) including control systems 8. Should be able to ensure that relevant standards are being met by products and design (IEC, IS, etc.) 9. Should be able to give technical support to pre-sales. 10. Should be able to co-ordinate with 3rd party external consultants to obtain design verifications. 11. Should provide technical clarifications to the entire eco-system – customers, vendors, internal teams (delivery, design,) 3rd party validations etc. 12. Should be able to train internal team on multiple aspects: a. O&M on solar plant operation and monitoring systems b. Quality on vendor evaluation (this is optional) c. Design team on procedures and processes used for Solar Plant design as per leading edge practice 13. Should be able to analyze data from solar pants to come up with insights on operation, design, uptime, quality procedures and other such improvements 14. Should be able to build simple automated tools to be used in design so as to ensure error free and easy design. Measured on: 1. Reduction in BOQ cost. 2. Reduction in errors in design documents. 3. Reduction in NCs from 3rd party validation of designs (AC and DC side.) 4. Standardization of design procedures. 5. Automated tools developed; reduction in design time. 6. Ensuring design NCs identified in critical review are taken care of in design process.

Experience in similar field (SPV MW design) for at least 3 years, total experience of 10 years. 3. Design of Solar MW projects in India is a must. 4. Sound knowledge of EB, safety norms is a must.
