Solar Chemical Specialist, Singapore

My client, is one of the leading vertically integrated solar manufacturers globally. They manufacture all of the components for the solar industry ranging from raw silicon to complete turnkey systems. They are currently looking for an experienced chemical specialist to work in their office in Singapore.

Position Overview:

My client is looking for an experienced chemical specialist to work from their offices in Singapore. This candidate will be responsible for leading the advancements in wet chemical processes to silicon wafer and providing technical support to the cell development engineering staff.

Responsibilities:

• ·         Will be responsible for the coordination and management of complex, large scale research and development projects.
• ·         Be an active member in the development of chemical processes
• ·         Provide engineering teams working on the development of solar cells with a basic understanding of chemical processes
• ·         Develop and maintain the best practice database for chemical treatments
• ·         Working to strict deadlines
• ·         Develop a portfolio of experts within the solar industry
• ·         Aid the sales team in a technical, advisory position

Education:

• ·         Educated to MSc or PhD in physics, solid state chemistry or related field

Core Requirements:

• ·         Have a strong technical and theoretical understanding of the chemical processes involved in wet chemical processing
• ·         Strong experience and understanding of surface analysis
• ·         Must have an extensive knowledge of the processes involved in PV cell manufacturing
• ·         Must be fluent in English
• ·         Proven track record in managing a dynamic team
• ·         Be able to teach and train colleagues
