Solar Business Development Manager, France

My client is a large solar PV manufacturer looking to develop rapidly into Europe. They are currently concentrating intensely on the French market and are looking for an experienced individual to develop the business extensively over the course of the next year. The ideal candidate will not only have extensive business development experience but will be very ambitious. The role requires someone who is very strategy focused but can also engage an active entrepreneurial attitude towards the key projects my client is developing. Once in the role, you will be reporting directly to the managing director and the CEO of the company on the quarterly progression of the business. In order to build a successful business you need excellent client facing skills as you will have to be in constant contact with c-level clients to build profitable relations.

Responsibilities will include but not be restricted to:

• ·         Manage the operations and projects of the French office for my client. You will be responsible for all projects undertaken in France.
• ·         Aggressively canvass new clients with a goal to building new client relations from which new projects can be developed
• ·         Constantly liaising with the managing director on the progress of all projects currently active and the progress of all potential projects
• ·         Building a successful project management and business development team around the office to ensure constant growth.

Requirements:

• ·         5 + years in business development within the Solar industry
• ·         5+ years in the French solar market
• ·         Good working knowledge of the solar policies,  initiatives and market in France
• ·         Degree in Business Management or related subject
• ·         3 + years in project development especially projects financed by external investors
