A solar business development director is needed in Abu Dhabi on a permanent basis.

My client is a leading project developer in the MENA region with a reputation for excellence and achievement. They have established a solid base for the development of renewable energy projects across the region and are quickly developing in Asia. They have made a name for themselves in the market so they are preferred project developer and manager with utility scale and commercial clients. CORE CRITERIA:

My client is seeking an experienced business developer to fully establish them as the leading provider of photovoltaic solutions in the Middle East and Asia. They require an astute individual with expert knowledge of the Middle Eastern market and business culture. The ideal candidate will have a background in engineering that will allow them to fully understand the solutions my client aims to provide. This role will suit someone with the tenacity and drive of a sales orientated person as well as the managerial skills of a proficient business leader.  Fluent Arabic is a perquisite for this position.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain Enviromena as the leading supplier of solar photovoltaic power solutions in the MENA and Asia region
• Manage consultants, architects, developers, contractors working on active projects.
• Direct the process of securing solar PV construction and component distribution contracts
• Represent the company in high-level business development meetings with potential clients
• Develop detailed bid strategies for open tenders with the aim of winning new projects
• Direct the Business Development department, including work flow, budget and timelines
• Establish and develop relationships with key contacts within the industry, government and high level executives.

Requirements:

• Have excellent knowledge of the renewable energy market
• Extensive business development experience
• Target orientated individual with a proven track record of success in renewable energy
• Work well under pressure
• Willing to travel extensively
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
