Description

Temple www.templegroup.co.uk is one of the UK’s leading independent infrastructure and property consultancies, specialising in environment, planning and sustainability.

We are a purpose and people led organisation and as a B Corp we are part of a movement committed to transforming the global economy to benefit all people, communities, and the planet https://www.bcorporation.net/

With a team comprising many recognised industry leaders, we work with inspirational clients on their organisations, on their challenges and on exciting, innovative, complex and globally relevant projects, programmes and schemes.

We provide a bespoke professional service to clients so that they can make the right decisions and achieve the best outcomes. We do this by leveraging our experience and breadth of skills alongside our insights, commitment, and ethical approach to everything we do.

The Opportunities

Our socio-economics, social value, engagement, and research team are known for their industry leading advisory work with clients, developing social corporate strategies and social outreach programmes as well as advising on how best to understand and articulate the economic footprint and social value of existing operations or planned new investments. The team also spends a lot of their time working with clients developing the case for high performing places and assets, as well as delivering long-term value creation regeneration and new development programmes.

Not surprisingly, our team is growing - building upon and supplementing our expertise in socio-economic assessment, the monetisation of social value, health and well-being, equalities impact assessment and environmental net gain.

We are seeking energetic, enthusiastic and experienced leaders, technical experts, project managers, researchers and consultants across a range of grades and specialisms to help shape, deliver and lead the next stage of our team’s growth and development.

We are particularly interested to hear from candidates with specialisms in social value, environmental economics, stakeholder engagement, behavioural change and socio-economics.

Applicants need to be client-focused with a positive, proactive and flexible attitude, excellent analytical skills and be happy working in a collaborative environment as part of a strong existing team.

All roles will work closely with other Temple teams (including Town Planning, EIA, Digital Delivery, Ecology, Air Quality and Strategic Advisory Services), as well as a wide range of external partners and associates.

The Candidates

We anticipate the strongest candidates at all three levels being able to demonstrate the following:

  • An organised approach and a strong work ethic
  • A genuine interest and commitment to working for a values-driven consultancy business
  • Excellent analytical, presentation and report writing skills
  • Sharp intellect, an enquiring mind and a creative approach to problem solving
  • Determination and resilience, with the ability to bounce back when things do not go to plan
  • A demonstrable track record of winning, and delivering successfully to clients
  • An active network of professional and client contacts
  • Strong project management and people management skills
  • A strong educational track record, including a degree or master’s level qualification, ideally in a relevant social science subject

You will have specific experience and expertise in one or more of the following:

  • Measuring and monetising social value
  • Environmental economics
  • Natural capital accounting
  • Economic impact assessment
  • Economic modelling and forecasting
  • Equalities impact assessment
  • Behavioural change
  • Engaging with local communities, including more difficult to reach groups
  • Socio-economic and health assessment in EIA
  • Project management using Prince 2 or APM
