We are offering an exciting opportunity for Trainees to join our Skills for
Wildlife Conservation Programme.

Trainees will be based on Yorkshire Wildlife Trust’s exciting new community farm development at Stirley and will spend three days a week on-site learning heritage conservation skills and techniques and working to implement environmental improvements on the site.

The trainees will also have to the opportunity to organise their own one day a week placement with another conservation organisation and also to undertake an NVQ Diploma in Environmental Conservation.

The Skills for Wildlife trainee roles are varied and give people a good range of experience and knowledge of working in conservation as well as access to useful training such First Aid, brushcutter and strimmer use.

No previous experience is required, although enthusiasm and a ‘can do’ attitude are vital. Trainees will have to work outside in all weathers and conditions as part of a small team and all safety and protective clothing and equipment will be supplied.

If you are interested in this exciting opportunity then please contact Rachel Stevenson on 0114 263 4335 or 07898 126969 for an informal chat.
