Description of the post:
The main task consists in analysing wind data for a particular site, carrying out the corresponding calculations and deciding whether a wind turbine is suitable for it. The site specific assessment engineer will be responsible for the decision taken and, if needed, for the certification of the calculation by a third party. The engineer's task will include but not be limited to:
·        Gather all necessary information from different departments.
·        Do the analysis and take the adequate decisions based on it.
·        Make sure that all required analysis tools are available and according to the latest "state of the art".
·        Communicate the results in a clear and fast way and answer all eventual questions from commercials/clients. 

Qualifications
 

Qualification/Education and knowledge
  • Industrial, Renewable energies or Naval Engineering degree (M.Sc or Bachelor), or Physician.
  • Knowledge of structural and load calculations.
  • Knowledge of basic aerodynamics and/or wind physics appreciated.
  • High level of English. Other languages are a plus
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, basic programming appreciated 
Qualification/Work Experience:
  • A minimum of 2 years experience in an industrial company, preferably in a technical department and with task related to technical data analysis and decision making based on such analysis.
  • Experience with any kind of load calculations will be a plus. 
Qualification/Profile:
  • Good analysis and communication skills.
  • Ability to build effective working relationships.
  • Ability to work on own initiative as well as in a team.
  • Ability to take decisions based not only on technical analysis but also on experience.
  • Strong sense of urgency.
  • Willing to work in a new environment, thus in need of a process of building and learning.
