Site Manager – Central Scotland           

Position: Full-time permanent

Reporting to: Operations Manager -Scotland

Based: Home office, centralScotland

As Site Manager for the Woodland TrustScotlandyou will manage native woodland and woodland creation projects over central/southernScotlandfor the benefit of people and wildlife.

You will effectively prioritise and implement activities on Trust sites in your care to achieve agreed targets based on corporate, department and country plans.

You will regularly liaise with neighbours, the public and local and statutory authorities on matters relating to site management. You will also oversee agents, contractors and volunteers and involve local people and the public in the care and management of Trust sites.

You will have excellent communication skills, be commercially aware and be professional at all times. You will be qualified and have at least three years’ experience  of forestry, conservation land management  including public access and experience of community engagement.

A full driving licence and the ability to travel across a wide area, sometimes to remote locations, is essential. Occasional overnight stays will also be required.
