Description

The ICCT seeks an organized, energetic person to manage our downtown San Francisco office, support the Chief Program Officer, and recruit new staff with direction from HR.   In this dual role, the work varies by day and you play a key part in finding and attracting talent from around the globe to support our highly influential research to reduce emissions from cars and trucks in the real world in Europe, US, China and other key vehicle markets.  We expect 50% of the role to be pure recruiting work and the other 50% to be a combination of office management and executive assistance.

Position Responsibilities - including, but not limited to:

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the ICCT’s San Francisco, CA office such as resolution of office issues/needs and coordination with building management on maintenance requests, safety, recycling, bike parking, and security cards;
  • Support to the Chief Program Officer, including calendar management, travel arrangements, expense reporting, and similar activities;
  • Engage in recruiting activities such as posting positions, sourcing both active and passive candidates, screening/tracking incoming applicants, scheduling interviews and tracking recruiting metrics;  
  • Oversee the onboarding process for new interns and full time hires in the San Francisco office;
  • Coordinate internal meetings, office activities, and similar; and
  • Collaborate on special projects and events, as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in human resources, nonprofit management, business, or other relevant area of study;
  • Minimum of one (1) year of work experience in office management and  administrative support;
  • Minimum of one (1) recruiting experience as part of a staffing firm or as a dedicated function within an organization that includes sourcing hard-to-find candidates;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, and fluency in another language desirable, but not required;
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and appropriate prioritization when handling issues and data from multiple sources;
  • Collaborative, team-oriented, and a positive, friendly, professional workplace demeanor necessary;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and proved ability and desire to work in an environment with a high degree of diversity;
  • Strong Mac computer skills including experience with MS Office applications, Google Drive, database software, and other programs as appropriate;
  • Demonstrated interest in climate change, environment, public health, or related topics;
  • Prior experience working in an international setting helpful; and
  • Some domestic travel may be required.
