Senior/Principle Consultant

Summary of role: To sustain the growth in activity in our service area from domestic and global clients, we are keen to provide additional support to meet our clients’ needs in an exciting area of sustainability management.  We are looking to recruit a specialist with an outstanding track record of delivering commercial due diligence for waste infrastructure, covering the full range of waste treatment, recycling and energy from waste technologies. Clients will include developers, lenders or procuring authorities.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Business development
• Client and project management
• Project related research, modelling and analysis
• Drafting client reports and supporting documents
• Providing content for blogs and marketing activities
  

Requirements:

The ideal applicant will have relevant experience, a waste industry or consulting background and a keen grasp of the technical requirements of the role. You will be expected to keep abreast of changing waste processing market dynamics for a wide range of waste streams and implement strategic and tactical initiatives in response to emerging opportunities within the existing waste infrastructure sector as well as new markets, such as bioeconomy technologies and applications for more sustainable valorisation of wastes and residues.

 Minimum qualifications

• Environment/sustainability degree or engineering, science, economics degree or equivalent practical experience
• Working knowledge of the UK waste market and the key operators, developers, funders, intermediaries and technologies
• Experience in delivering technical and/or market due diligence studies for any of developers, lenders, intermediaries or procuring authorities
• High quality and professional report writing (Word, PowerPoint)
• Good analytical skills and advanced Excel competency

Desirable skills

• An international perspective on global waste markets and waste processing technologies
• An additional language (particularly European or Nordic) would be an advantage
