Introduction

Our client is currently looking to recruit an Environmental Planner to join their Cambridge team on a permanent basis, but with the opportunity to work in their London office.

Important

Strong knowledge in planning, environmental, engineering and sustainability issues including Environmental Impact Assessment

The Job

This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a fast growing, multi-disciplinary infrastructure and development consultancy wit the opportunity to work on a variety of projects.

Key responsibilities / duties will include:

Support the LLP Directors and Partners for Environment
Day to day project management
Internal co-ordination and financial management
Review of technical reports and documents
Assistance with the preparation of bids and proposals
Attendance at design team meetings and workshops
Prepare and compile technical inputs into a coordinated document

Capabilities and Qualifications

The successful candidate will have a degree or equivalent qualification in Environmental Planning, Geography or a relevant Science / Engineering discipline along with an MSC in an Environmental related subject.

Ideally they should have at least 5 years' experience, Chartered or working towards Chartership with a relevant professional body such as IEMA or CIWEM

In addition the candidate must:

Have excellent communication and written skills
Have strong organisation and delegation skills
Be competent in the use of Microsoft Office programmes
Be an enthusiastic and positive team player
Have strong commercial acumen

Ideally the applicant will be able to demonstrate competency and flexibility to meet the demands of the role.

The successful candidate will be working closely with the LLP Director for Environment locally in Cambridge to support the development and growth of the Environmental business in the East of England and as such this is a key appointment offering significant career progression.
