Hours: 39 hours per week with TOIL

Salary:  Competitive salary based on experience 

The Opportunity

Landscape Science Consultancy has a unique opportunity within our innovative and experienced team for a keen, self-motivated ecologist who has a strong business acumen and is looking to develop a new challenge. You will take a lead role in the consultancy, overseeing all aspects of project management, business management, client relationships, mentoring junior staff members and staff management.

You must be willing to promote high standards in the profession, focussing on providing clients with solutions to any problems through collaboration, based on technically robust and innovative design whilst also achieving net gain. This will require an ability to critically review your own and others output; to demonstrate excellent time management, fieldwork and report writing skills; to have confidence to manage your own and others workload on time and on budget; to be proactive within the team and be able to delegate as appropriate.

The ideal candidate will have:

A genuine enthusiasm and proven ability in ecology

Full CIEEM membership essential

Chartered Ecologist status desirable

CSCS Card an advantage

Protected species licences: minimum Bats level 1 and Great Crested Newts

Proven and demonstrable track record of written and verbal communication and a close attention to detail

Proven and demonstrable project management and client liaison experience

Experience in Public Inquiry work desirable

Have a full clean driving licence and use of own vehicle
