Responsibilities
• Evaluate feasibility of projects from a variety of perspectives (for example, location, wind resource, turbine selection, turbine layout, cost) • Review and assess technical risk in commercial contracts • Evaluate financial models, including basis and reasonableness of key inputs • Visit and evaluate operating and proposed wind power facilities • Effectively communicate with clients on the impacts of various terms and risks of the contracts and conditions. • Work collaboratively across departments, coordinating input from other team members for use in reports • Build and develop client relationships • Provide timely client communications • Present, and in some cases defend, findings to clients • Participate in and contribute to industry events • Prepare proposals to address client needs • Manage project cost and schedule • Share knowledge and best practice across DNV units
Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE • Engineering degree (Bachelor's degree or higher) in a relevant discipline strongly preferred – relevant work experience may substitute • MBA in addition to the Engineering degree is a plus but not a requirement • At least six years of relevant work experience, including direct experience in project development, feasibility assessment, or due diligence to support further project development, financing, mergers/acquisitions, or direct investment. Wind energy experience is preferred. However, other relevant experience from the power generation industry could compensate for lack of wind energy experience. Consulting experience, or experience managing the work of consultants, is preferred.
