Senior UK Overseas Territories Officer

Reference number: A5420215

Location: Bedfordshire

An exciting opportunity to lead the RSPB's growing programme of work with partners in the Caribbean UK Overseas Territories and play a primary role in the conservation of some of the UK's most globally important, threatened and diverse environments. Managing and developing our conservation project work in the 5 Caribbean Territories, you will work alongside local Territory partners, building in-Territory capacity, advancing community relations and advocating for good environmental outcomes to politicians, civil servants and the private sector. You must be able to manage programme budgets and staff, operate effectively in major cross-Society project teams, and work under minimum supervision at times. Excellent diplomatic, communication and negotiation skills are essential. You will be expected to spend a significant number of nights and weekends overseas each year, the majority of which will be unaccompanied.

Salary

£31,000 to £34,000 per annum
