Description

FSC is an educational charity that delivers its mission of ‘Bringing Environmental Understanding to All’ via its network of Field Centres throughout the United Kingdom.  FSC London Region consists of FSC Juniper Hall, FSC Amersham, FSC London Projects (including the Royal Parks and Olympic Park) and FSC Epping Forest.  FSC Juniper Hall is a residential field centre, whilst the others are day centres.  This means is that there are a very high number of students taking part in learning experiences across the region, with 54,782 learners attending courses across the region in 2015. The London Region attracts a large number of groups from across the UK and internationally.

In this important and challenging role you will develop, plan and deliver ‘out-of-classroom learning’ activities to a wide ranging audience; engaging and enthusing students to assist FSC achieve their goal of ‘Inspiring Environmental Understanding through first-hand experience’. You will be expected to provide effective leadership in relation to the various elements of the learning location provision including: Specification-based programmes in Geography & Biology at Key stage 4 and A-Level, Curricular and non-curricular courses at Key-stage 1,2 &3, Informal leisure learning courses, Supporting other courses, and programmes for school and other local community groups. Previous experience of developing and delivering outstanding learning is essential, as is knowledge of the National Curriculum and a degree in Geography, Environmental Science, or closely allied discipline.

FSC Salary Grade:  scale points 12 – 15, currently £20,089 - £22,925 p.a.
