FSC is an educational charity that delivers its mission of ‘Bringing Environmental Understanding to All’ via its network of Field Centres throughout the United Kingdom.  We currently have a vacancy for a Senior Tutor at our residential Centre at FSC Blencathra, Lake District.

In the important and challenging role of a Senior Tutor you will develop, plan and deliver GCSE and A-level courses, along with environmental courses for younger students. You will be expected to play a major role in the working and organisation of the education team, to take a lead role in developing programmes in one subject area and in training non-specialist staff, and have management responsibilities for specified Centre operations.  Therefore previous experience is essential, as is knowledge of the National Curriculum and a degree in Geography or closely allied discipline.  You’ll also be confident in working both in a team and independently and possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.    

Salary is offered in the range of £20,672 - £23,590 p.a. (Team Leader Grade) depending upon qualifications and experience.  If resident at the Centre, there will be a deduction for accommodation.
