Senior Test Engineer

The Senior Test Engineer will be an integral member of the Product and Test Engineering organization. The candidate will be responsible for worldwide PV module characterization and driving the evolution of test equipment and flawless execution of strategic goals

Responsibilities:

• Serves as principal lead on all backend module testing and module characterization
• Drives worldwide 3rd party module characterizations
• Produces precise engineering reports, metrics and administers engineering process control monitors
• Provides day-to-day engineering support and mentoring for WW production
• Interfaces and drives continuous improvement programs
• Helps define strategic test roadmaps
• Collaborates on outdoor characterization test suites
• Participates in cross-functional and cross-international teams

Experience and Qualifications:

• BSEE or equivalent
• Minimum of 5 years in a test engineering development position
• Strong understanding of photovoltaics
• Experience with project management methods
• Proven ability to work independently and drive strategic goals with effective execution
• Detail orientated; excellent communication skills a must!
• Programming skills a plus including Visual Basic, Access, JMP and higher language exposure such as C++ etc
• Sun Simulator experience desired, not required
• Requires high level experience with MS toolset (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Project)
• Passion for solar is a big plus

Some international and domestic travel required.
