Description
This post draws together a number of tasks that are crucial to the long-term financial security of Kent Wildlife Trust. The post holder will work closely with the Head of Fundraising, the Membership Services Officer, and the communications team, as well as the wider Trust, in delivering increased supporter value. This is a post which will use to the full a broad mixture of skills built on wide, hands-on experience. The qualities of the individual appointed to the post will play a large part in determining the nature of the job.

Globally and nationally wildlife is in steep decline. We appear to be reaching critical tipping points around the loss of biodiversity as well as around climate change, both being interlinked. Human society cannot prosper without wildlife and healthy ecosystems. Kent’s wildlife needs to be restored to much higher levels. We can no longer allow common things to become rare. We can only do this by restoring large-scale habitat from degraded land. Doing this will contribute to solving global problems. But we won’t be able to do this unless we publicly aspire to a higher level of impact and show that we can deliver this.

We are looking for someone to…

  •  Improve the growth and retention of the Kent Wildlife Trust Group membership and supporter base, increasing the average member and   supporter value – a key KPI.
  •  Review, develop and deliver a programme of income generating initiatives, in person and online and to encourage and administer the Legacy gifts and in memorial gifts.
  •  Develop inspiring and effective appeals, working with the comms team to maximise income through digital channels.
  •  Take advantage of large-scale fundraising opportunities, both internal and external, on and offline.
