Are you passionate about our oceans and do you want to work with like-minded people to deliver sustainable and traceable seafood to consumers across the globe?

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Supply Chain Standards team as a Senior Supply Chain Standards Officer on a fixed term basis for 18 months.

You will be working with industry partners, research institutes, certification bodies and team members from around the world to ensure the traceability and integrity of the MSC eco-labelled products.

As our Senior Supply Chain Standards Officer, you will be integral to ensuring the quality, accessibility and credibility of the MSC Chain of Custody Program systems, through system and procedure development, data evaluation, quality assurance, relationship and incident management; as well as having an input into the program policy direction.

To be successful in this role, you’ll

  • be qualified to degree level or equivalent in business, economics, science or appropriate technical program (e.g. supply chain and logistics management, business or economics, sustainability, environmental science, or food/ seafood science);
  • have demonstrable experience in customer service and relationship management;
  • have a well-developed IT skills and use of standard software packages (MS SharePoint, MS Access, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams and Adobe Acrobat);
  • have experience carrying out research and evaluation, including the ability to understand a problem, identify critical data sources, and carry out logical analysis, will be an advantage;
  • be fluent in written and spoken English. Proficiency in a second language is desirable but not essential (preferred: German, Spanish, French language).

The MSC is committed to flexible working. We are currently running a trial for hybrid working, and the successful candidate will need to work from the UK office for a minimum of 50% of their working time each month.
